In October 2020, she will start working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Economic Researches Institute, UNAM. Eguiluz co-coordinates the Atenea Network in Mexico and is coordinating the project: “Rapid qualitative analysis about the perceptions of health professionals working in the public sector in Mexico City in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic” the study is globally coordinated by RREAL-UCL. She is a professor at the Department of Basic Sciences of the Tecnológico de Monterrey and was a member of the First Parliament of Women in Mexico City, where she presided the Health Commission. Her work has been presented at multiple international academic conferences. She has collaborated as a consultant with UNHCR, the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico, and Partners in Health, among others. Her main research topics are migration, global health, emerging adulthood, and qualitative research. She has a Master in Health Sciences degree from the National Institute of Public Health. Itzel Eguiluz carried out her doctoral studies in International Migration and Social Integration at the Complutense University of Madrid. ![]()
